This is my first post so sorry if I missed anything. I just got my 2025 Leaf leased yesterday from Boulder Nissan and the price actually is $9/mo. 24 month, 10k miles per year lease. This is the cheapest monthly I've seen in CO.

90% of driving is within 30 to 45 miles. All you need a battery for that distance, gas kicks for 600 mile trips. EV can't have 600 mile without spend $250k.
Plus you can charge at regular outlet . Telsa charging is a nightmare during peak demand in California with 30-60 wait times. The most waited in gas was 5 minutes rarely.
EV totally makes sense if you have solar roof or charge off peak at home.
Yes, gas powered is the only way to go!
Plenty of articles out "there" lately, discussing that almost half the current EV owners regret their purchase and are going back to gas powered engines asap.
Thumbs down don't change the truth!!..lol
Has demand for EVs gotton so low now they have to give them away?
it's not complicated... it's a cheap car with decent residual value (they've been making nissan leafs since 2010, so they are a well known commodity) the 8100 in fed/CO basically pay for the lease.
a cheap gas car might total 6-10k in lease payments - elementary school students will have no problem doing the math

First CO2 is not a poison in any sense of the word. It would be like saying oxygen or water is a poison. C02 at increased levels and low levels in our atmosphere have never poisoned anything. In fact periods with high levels of CO2 seem to be some of the richest in life. Increased levels increase more green on the planet and do not poison anything. what life feeds on is not a poison
The quote that I referenced is one of the most basic tenets of toxicology. Even oxygen and water can kill at high enough concentrations. That's why we have things like LD50.
Why would anyone go for this deal when I can get a all pay lease Hyundai ioniq 5 SEL AWD for 4200 to 4500 down 12k miles a year and 2 years of free dc fast charging . Who cares about the numbers put turn it in and lease or buy when rates come down and get in a 2026.
I am loving the limited for 7300 down.
ev no matter what you buy it will tank and the loan rates sucks.
I wouldn't feel safe in a leaf but if you are in a bigger get it I guess. I could sell off a bunch of stuff to cough up another 2k to get into a ioniq 5 SEL and get 12k miles a year free charging .
give the crap back. also you want AWD in Colorado you will get that with the SEL ioniq 5

Plenty of useless anecdotes from garbage conservative "news" outlets that feed your cognitive bias, but outside of your bubble, this is anything but the truth.
The quote that I referenced is one of the most basic tenets of toxicology. Even oxygen and water can kill at high enough concentrations. That's why we have things like LD50.
Yet in toxicology "poison" has very specific meaning. We don't label water as a poison for just that reason. Show me a can of water labeled as poisonous and I will concede the point.
By your logic we are putting poison in beverages. Do you believe that our government allows soda makers to poison us? Do you believe concert goers are being poisoned when the CO2 clouds roll from the stage?
The oxygen you breathe is actually a much more dangerous and reactive substance and again that is not a poison. Even in the rare cases where CO2 has killed it is not by way of poisoning but by way of displacing required oxygen. That is not a lethal dose of CO2 it is death by lack of oxygen. No one has ever been poisoned by CO2.
If it was a "poison" you would think that with increased levels we would see something harmed or killed but we see the earth getting greener. We also know that when CO2 levels were five times higher nothing was poisoned by it. Your quote and definition is not meant to bring clarity or define but to confuse.
100% of what you say may be made up. There is plenty of news and hard data that shows EVs may not be the best choice for anybody and are not the pipe dream many were fed. The complete industry is kind of a mess. You have to separate reality from the political based messages you have been fed.
this will be my last post on this topic since i don't want to get into argument. Cherry picking the news article which talk about individual instance (some models having issues or individual companies having issues) doesn't change the fact that overall EV market share is increasing which means more people are buying EVs.
Wf course you can say that I cherry picked the websites too, so please google 'ev market share' and show me a respectable site which shows that overall EV sales are declining.

lol I bought another EV 5 years after my first. Why would I want to buy a car I can't produce power for myself? Especially one that requires more maintenance and makes the air I breathe dirtier?
What do you use a truck for? Work stuff, or grocery getter? That could be difference.

Might be ok if you only plan to charge at home and use it as an around town vehicle, but it's ridiculous Nissan is still trying to sell these.
Best o both worlds.
More the half the vehicles sold are trucks
