This is my first post so sorry if I missed anything. I just got my 2025 Leaf leased yesterday from Boulder Nissan and the price actually is $9/mo. 24 month, 10k miles per year lease. This is the cheapest monthly I've seen in CO.
Total costs:
Dealer fees + sales tax = $2300
Optional damage coverage = $600
Lease return fee = $320

These are the reasons divers die from narcosis and not a one of them is "poisoning" they are all lack of oxygen.
My statement holds clear truth. Calling CO2 a "poison" does not. The agencies that regulate real poisons do not classify it as a poison which has a specific meaning. Saying CO2 is a poison is meant to deceive and play political games
This is a great first car for a new teen driver. Drive it two years and turn it in before heading off to college.

Yes, I said your statement still holds water. It means that your statement is true.
Anyway, this is off-topic.
Plenty of articles out "there" lately, discussing that almost half the current EV owners regret their purchase and are going back to gas powered engines asap.
Thumbs down don't change the truth!!..lol
Kelly Blue Book and others along with much of the American public say the same. Are they also douchebags.as they choose not to choose what you determined good for them?

While there is less maintenance, the cost per for the maintenance on electric cars is high. Plus you have charging costs and higher insurance. Even if you have solar panels, while maybe different for individuals, generally the costs are high to have them installed. You're also paying more for the car as an avg starting point than ICE. Plus you can only do maintenance at a dealership, versus ICE cars any mechanic can do.
As for environmental impacts, the poison that lithium mines produce are hazardous.. as is to the workers. It's also odd that many lithium mines are near labor camps.
I'm a techie person and the future potential of alternative fuel cars is interesting and exciting. I'm for EVs. And want the companies to be in competition to benefit the consumer. However, moral arguments are incorrect and any such benefits are largely outweighs by their opposite impact. Not saying gas is good either. It's just a new thing in the market and up to the companies to develop it.
But for this price, no brainer if I lived in CO.
***used to sell EVs for over 10yrs. Enjoy them too. But also did my own research. Love what Tesla is doing, but not a fanboy.

The statements are true
1.They don't go far
2. PHEV can go up to 500 miles
3. Insurance rates are over priced for ev's
4. Dc fast charge costs just as much as gasoline
5. You have to plan your trip charging stations outside your range.
6. You have to stop and wait 2 x more than a gas car or PHEV
7. Parts availability waiting to replace simple parts may be back ordered on a EV
8. Repair costs to fix electrical components in a pure ev cost more to repair
9. Waiting in line at a public charger can occur and cost you time vs gas pump where you instantly refuel within 3min
10. Resale value has tanked on pure ev's for Tesla and Hyundai
Coming from a ioniq 5 limited owner who owns a pure ev.
Yeah if you have money I would just lease it and hope you to an return it in pristine condition . The only benefit owning a EV is the comfort of charging at home at your electrical costs. Other than that EV cars are like cell phones , you should replace it every 3 to 4 years or before the bumper to bumper warranty expires.
If you are considering a EV go for the ioniq 5 SEL 4500.00 down all pay lease , 12k miles a year two years free dc fast charging and it's AWD ,446ftlb torque 300hp.
I got the limited ioniq 5 and will be giving it back as the buyout is 41k after two years . Rip-off.
EVs need at least 400m of range at 100 percent charge so you don't have to stop 10x to go 1k to 1500 miles since most of the time you only charge to 80 percent.

EV and green energy take up has the American taxpayer being bled to subsidise and support big money interests and even car purchases for high earners. Look at the case in Kansas where the rate payers have to pay for expansion of coal burning to power a Japan based business making batteries that is getting subsidies plus subsidies for energy use rates while the residents of the state get increased rates and have to fund the power plant and grid.
All this may be the greatest transfer of wealth from the poor and working classes to the rich and government class ever. The dollars they had have been transferred and devalued where most people cannot afford shelter food or energy. It is you that is just going with what you hear do some of your own research.
