I appreciate your opinion and I promise it is not my goal to change your mind. But your "simple economics" theory fails to take many simple factors into consideration. During the pandemic and after with supply issues the retailers raised prices. Yes, that was inflationary. However, when supply issues resolved, our beloved large manufacturers did not lower prices in line with the reduction of their costs. Economists refer to this a "greedflation" and as a result some grocery prices are way higher than the rate of inflation around 6%.

Again, I am not asking you to agree with me, I only want you to read-up a little more, and I encourage you NOT to get your info from social media.

This is waaay off topic and I apologize.

Yesterday, I did a pick up order at QFC in Seattle. Total was $137 and change - paid $32 and change. Kroger is having extra great savings opportunities this week. This wasn't from the Instacart offer.

Like others have asked, I think you missed mentioning the key part of HOW you managed to save, if not via Instacart.

Was that via QFC Online pickup? Were you using any new-user promotional coupons or YMMV coupons?

Weird, they're only targeting the outer West/Northwest region of the Houston area. But Dallas area looks like almost every store is available (like 90+ stores show up on the map)

Too bad, Ralphs doesn't have pickup option in my area. Food4less store closed to my house changed the name to foodmaxx.
