This is a really solid light, I've had mine with the 2700k sft40 for a couple of months. The beam is insanely narrow, which is why you'd buy this light. It can illuminate things a thousand feet away easily.

You can't sit it up on its tailcap which is kind of annoying. It also has 1 mechanical switch that turns light on and off, and 1 electronic switch to change modes. Another little odd choice.

That said, it's by far the best light at this price point if you want a narrow focused beam.

Both are on sale with coupon code. TD01 is $34 TD01C is $37. I think TD01C is worth the extra $3 for the buck regulated driver version.

So I want some flashlights for my garage, home, car, etc.

I have a nice flashlight powered by two 123 batteries that I've had in my car since 2005.. It's pretty powerful.

When would I need a flashlight that has a narrow beam like this one?
Also, what would be good flashlights for home, car, and garage in the event of power outages, etc??

I have the Ryobi 2500 lumen spotlight and this light has a far more focused beam in a much smaller package. This one is better as an actual spotlight, Ryobi is better for large area illumination.

Is this site legit (i.e. no selling of personal info and such)? I have another, smaller light from same brand (from Amazon) and the tip gets super hot after short usage. Took one to Africa recently and it got hot after about 10 minutes of usage at night.

It's legit, Sofirn makes the lights for them to Wurkkos' specs and lately Wurkkos has been putting out a lot better lights than Sofirn. I got this light back in Jan for around $40 and it's a beast. There's no better narrow bean, long range thrower on the market based on the Youtube reviews, at least not until you're willing to drop $200ish+ if I remember right.

The only minor cons I have with it are the rear tail button switch vs just the side button on the side, which I've become accustomed to over the past few years with all of my EDC lights. And it's on the larger size for riding at night, but due to the Buck driver, it will maintain its peak brightness for much longer than the TS11 and other lights from these companies and others that use fet drivers, which heat up quicker and cause the light to auto dim as it gets hotter and hotter.

IF you want a long throw flashlight, this is an unbeatable price. I'm going to order one for my mom. If you want a smaller, pocketable size thrower, get the TS11 with the 18650 tube.
