Like always, I would question any battery coming from Amazon.

Counterfeits. It's pretty much Amazon's MO these days.

C'mon now everyone knows that Amazon is one of the most reputable places to get authentic stuff. Everyone listen to this. I have purchased at least 8 batteries from Amazon and not a single one has been a counterfeit so don't listen to this nonsense.
You must live under a rock if you truly believe this. Can't quite tell if you're trolling or not.

I don't think he is under a rock . These are sold and shipped by Amazon. 100 percent chance these are authentic. If the seller was not Amazon then your statement would have sone validity.

Shipped & sold by Amazon doesn't negate any chance of counterfeit. There are plenty of videos, docuseries, and reports of counterfeit items being shipped & sold by Amazon and it's due to the way they inventory their items. Batteries for popular power tool brands are one of the number 1 counterfeit items too and i've seen users here report on previous sales where they got counterfeit items.

My strategy (FWIW) is to buy batteries with tools in bundles (from Amazon). Something like this:

https://slickdeals.net/f/17663727-89-dewalt-20v-max-cordless-1-2-drill-driver-w-xr-2-0ah-battery-charger-kit-at-amazon?src=SiteSearch

My logic is that these "bundles" typically come packaged together...so you'd have to counterfeit the entire bundle (possible but less probably IMHO).

Similar strategy with the "Buy a bare tool...get a bonus battery" deals...

But buying "just batteries" from Amazon I can see possibly being more of a risk...

YMMV
