If you are like me, and had no idea what this is:
It allows you to share a single source with two different BT headphones. It requires that you have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Just to expand on that, the "source" is a 3.5mm jack - like the one you might see on an airplane entertainment system (thus the name).

Very handy to be able to plug into one of those and still use your beloved BT headphones/pods (and not even need to re-pair). Nice to still have ANC and not have to worry about cords conflicting with tray tables - unlike with the free set the flight attendance may offer, which usually have the audio quality (and durability) of two Dixie cups connected with a string.

Cool device with some usage.... but nobody else thinks 30 bucks is too much for this? A 3.5mm plug slapped on a BT transmitter?

Is this a premium brand name or something? Because here's [amazon.com] one for like 8 bucks. And if you don't like that one, there's 50 on Amazon under $20.

The Airfly Duo works very well. And let's be real, iPhone-people want the accessories to match the phone... they do. I've have a no-name bluetooth rx/tx forever (because Android, of course). I even let me partner use it on a long flight and they were quite impressed. Then they saw the Airfly. We bought it for at normal price and everyone is happy. $29.99 actually gets you pretty close to a generic rx/tx, pricewise. If you've been waiting to get one of these, I'd say this is the time.

I don't know why the sale is happening. Maybe Airfly is updating the duo? Either way, this is a good price.

Except the airfly duo doesn't have rx, only tx, but not much of a loss of functionality if it's primary use is for IFE. You're right a product refresh is probably around the corner given their current chipset only supports BT5.0. Hope the new ones also support higher bitrate codecs

AirFly is sold at Apple stores.

That no-name looks decent, but the AirFly has like 4-5x battery life.

UGREEN is another option with good battery life, but pretty close to the AirFly price point: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Blu...B0CJY56XG3

Could you connect two differently branded blue tooth speakers using this?

I've got 2 devices like this but not this brand. I got one for $8 but the latency was horrendous. Not a problem for listening to music, but terrible for video. I got another one for $15 and it was much better, but there's still a 50-100ms delay. Anyone know if this is any better, or better yet has controls for adjusting the sync?

My question to the industry is: why don't most tablets/laptops/TVs allow two audio parings? It must be much easier than multi-room castings or stereo pairings or multi-channel surround audio pairings.

I'm a little confused. Is this for non-Apple device users? I can currently share the audio from my device to two different headphones. I suppose this is useful for planes if you're watching an onboard movie and want to use your own BT headphones.

Yeah, seems a little steep. I recently bought and used one of the cheap ones on a 6 hr flight and it was just fine.

Very misleading with the name and in description it mentions AirPods first. But these do not support airplay nor any Apple-specific easy connection. These are still just Bluetooth. And I don't see any mentions about codex or amplification that make this worth the asking price.
