I don't think they have one for in store offerings. It's just what they have at that location.

I'd make the trip up there if I could see what PS4 or Xbox One games they have priced at this just to pick up games I wanted last gen and never got around to buying and playing.

Yeah, I'm thinking about going up to see about the same. Physical copies of last term games that I liked/wanted. I have a massive digital library at this point, but if the Redbox thing tells us anything, we could lose it at any time.

The GameStop app can be very unreliable and varies throughout the day. It's seems like when the stores are closed it attempts to show zero stock for some items and then when it's store hours the stock is available. It's a weird interface. I will say that in store you are bound to find the prices to be marked lower sometimes than on the app.

You can view them on app but it weird because it only shows when it's open at time and varies for availability outside store hours. Sometimes I see the inventory then late at night zilch.

Are they actively raising the prices on these games before the sales? I'm lookin at the website and seeing used prices only 50c cheaper than new. kinda defeats the purpose.

I wouldn't put it past them.

Btw, I dont know if they ever fixed this but they used to have an issue where I would buy games online, and then return some in store, and they would return for more than I paid. The most egregious example was a copy of saints row (remake) special edition that I paid 5.90 for online, but the store refunded me $50. Normally I would only get 5-10 more, but even that adds up. Has anyone else experienced this, or was it just me?

I havent bought from them in over a year (changing of the $5 credit working for store gift cards ended my gamestop runs.)

They might be but sometimes they don't change the price on the games in store to reflect online price so I would go in store. If it's less on the box they have to honor that price plus this is an in store only promo so maybe look online to get and idea then go to the store and verify price and purchase.

Haven't had that happen but they have been quite generous about replacement and issues with online pickup and delivery. In one case they refunded a purchase and let me keep the item and issued a promo code. In another case something was missing from an item that I bought twice so they sent me it again twice with what was missing. I have no complaints only slow shipment. Sometimes it takes twice as long to receive shipped items.

They used to have a price filter which was helpful. The search function I really miss though is the "price drop" filter so you could see each week what had gone down in price. You can search for in store pickup items by clicking on your home store in the top right of the GS home page and then select video games from the categories on the next page. Keep in mind that if they only have one copy in store it will not show up as in stock - essentially making this search function absolutely useless.

They likely changed it because of people abusing it like crazy. Whether it was people "double dipping" (using the coupon twice, once online and once in store) or exploiting that double dipping to end up with free or nearly free items every month I can't say I blame them for changing it.

Example: "Buying" $5 in Nintendo credits for free in store, then immediately placing an online order for $10 in Nintendo credits for $5 out of pocket.

They already relented the previous year and people continued to do it. So if anything blame the 🤡's that kept on doing it.
