Welcome to 2024. We moved passed 2014 CDMA vs GSM stupidity.
Nope. I ported multiple. Just open Google voice number and unlock for $3. Then create voice main pin and that's it. Provide those to total by Verizon when you want to transfer
This will most likely go down to $100 in a couple of months based on previous Razr series.

FYI, the 2023 version used a Qualcomm CPU.

MediaTek 7300X hasn't been rural tested, but it's highly likely the 2023 will get better extended range reception.

The phone specs indicate that it has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor and not Qualcomm processor. Be aware of you choose to purchase.

Got the phone today, It's very nice and snappy for a midrange phone. How long does it take for activation to process if we are porting over a number? It says it could take up to 2 days. Is that right?

Google Voice can sometimes take even longer, just need to be patient.

Received the phone today and started the porting process. The "Lock" function is no longer available in my Google Voice settings. I've read it can take as long as five days to port out Google Voice numbers.

Do they check that you port in a number? Can you just receive the phone and go? I assume it comes with a Total sim or esim with number? Will theybckaw back the discount if you don't port

Comes with plan loaded on sim & will not unlock if you don't activate - needs to have a number ported to activate per requirements.

Can someone give me a rundown

I unlocked my Google number that I've had for a while and I want to use that number but then it says port from a carrier and to choose an option

How do I do that Google isn't a carrier

Can I activate the sim/phone and then take out the sim to use in a different device without worrying about the razr unlocking? For more details, my mother is going to Canada next week and the total plan offers roaming there and her current provider does not. I'd really rather not give her the razr to use while there if I can just give her the sim card.

Maybe a dumb question and sorry if it's been answered already.
