The better deal here is to buy 2 of the 30 pack on the same product page. Then you get the rebate and amazon credit mentioned by OP. I don't have time to do the exact math right now, but the rolls are bigger and 2 of the 30 count equals 306 regular rolls.

The total comes out right in the 20 off 80 is checked but it doesn't come off of the total. Do you get this credit later and it does not show on the total?

That's $80.58 for me pretax, less $20 and $15 MIR that's $45.58. I can't do the math on the per sheet right now, however the deal here wirh this product is to exceed $80 by as small a margin as possible to trigger the Amazon credit.

(Edit) It looks like both the deal above and the 2x30 pack come out below $80 if you have 15% s&s - let's hope $20 still comes through! You are right that 2x30 is a better deal since it comes with more rolls for similar price.

Does everyone ever get these credits applied to their account?

I've tried two similar deals on Charmin tp twice before and haven't gotten the credit both times. What is the trick to get the credit?
I wonder if it's a one time use thing and I've already received this credit once in the past without knowing?

This is a good deal also, especially if you prefer ultra strong over ultra soft. There's also $3 off coupon showing up for me (ymmv)
