I think i'll get this. Need a toolbox just to keep in the truck. And being a metal toolbox with the extra drawer and storage on top makes it a decent deal. Either throw some spare wrenches in there or just grab a $20 metric/sae wrench set from Harbor Freight and you're good.

Good luck with that warranty,

This didn't fit in my truck bed tool box. It was too tall. I have a regular box, not low profile. The latches on this are pretty flimsy. I've had the different craftsman mechanic sets in the plastic and the cases are all pretty bad. Home Depot had a Husky one for a while that had pretty good reviews for $50. It doubled as a seat. Can't find it on the website anymore.

I got this almost a decade ago WITHOUT the tools for $99 at Sears. Holds up nicely and hopefully the tools will too

Is it still the same quality/manufacturer though?
Sears days Craftsman was really high quality, now Stanley/B+D makes these?

Anyway, I think the tools are overpriced but you are paying for the box. Just compare the prices you can get these tools for around $25-$40 depending on brand, especially if you go with Husky you can find really good deals for portable mechanic sets with ratcheting driver but you won't get deep sockets. Box seems sturdy and metal but I would worry about rust on these and it's going to be heavy.

Made in Taiwan. I'll give it a shot, in a worst case will return back.

From one of the reviews:
-----
I have been a Craftsman guy for decades. Their hand tools have pretty much always been top-notch. But I have this exact toolbox from way back when and I love it. This was on sale for a great price, so I grabbed it. But even though the gauge of the sheet metal is good, the latches are absolutely pathetic. Honestly, almost toy-like. And the slides are crap as well.
