Question is why is Linksys dumping a seemingly high end router at such cheap prices? ok even if it's not high end, for ordinary residential usage, they specs are really good. There's got to be excess inventory or something's effed up with the router.
So I bought two anyway.
If you follow the market closely, we are teetering on a recession. Sounds like these didn't sell well and they have a massive inventory. $20-$25 seems to be the sweet spot to get rid of inventory yet not lose your ass on the failed launch of a product line

Same router is now $20 at Walmart from a 3rd party seller with free shipping (Walmart+ not needed).

This seller has 14 total reviews and only managed to get a 57% overall positive rating.

Bought this and figured they are so cheap to get users into their Linksys ecosystem because they trap you into needing to install their app to set it up. I couldn't log in with my phone without it stuck on page to download phone anpp and had to use a laptop to get to a screen for user name and password.
It's been solid and working great for grandparents for weeks now.
When I was searching around for reviews, I see this page that shows how to bypass the app. You'll have to scroll about half way to get to the section (after all the explanation why you'd want to use router without an app)

Don't buy this unless you know what you are getting. Lots of people getting excited over stupid s**t. This device has lots of problems and it's being dumped by the manufacture for a reason.
Yeah already got rid of mine

I'm not sure if you guys are using the phone or computer...

Computer doesnt need an app.

On your phone, just set the browser to DESKTOP MODE.

You're on the regular (non-cloud) login page.

Show your sources for all of these "issues." Btw did you see the jobs report today? Doesn't look good. Companies are going to shed inventory as fast as they can.

It is 3-4 year-old hardware with wifi6 in a market that's shifting to wifi7. No 6ghz support, and also stripped of its most valuable feature for consumers, simplified mesh networking.

TP Link is selling Wi-Fi routers like hotcake. Linksys just dropped the ball .

Sure. I own some TP link stuff and I like it but that's besides the point. The other guy came on here claiming these specifically have issues. Well what are they? Surely he could send something showing these are being sold off not due to inventory problems but due to faulty hardware. I'm still waiting.
