basically HD allows you to keep the kit and return the battery. total cost will be split between the kit and battery on your receipt. if you only keep the kit it becomes 102 instead of 189

I got into porter cable as Lowe's was phasing them out only because they were so cheap. Like insanely cheap. They've been good to me but you can tell the batteries aren't holding a charge like they used to.

I ask because i got this deal last time, and someone stole my compact drill 😭. I still have my impact + (1) 2.0ah battery.
