The A2500 was recently on sale with Best Buy at $300 and would have been of much higher value compared to this

My wife loves this blender! Bought on a previous SD. The preprogrammed cleaning cycle is worth the extra money. Had for over 7 years and no issues.

I got the a2500 from Best Buy yesterday and considering this one now. Other than the timer, different dial, and more presets is there much difference in performance? I notice the a3500 is 3 lbs heavier. Possibly due to the stainless steel? I wonder if this helps dampen sound at all.
