Nice catch. Also first break I've seen on this model. Last yrs q990c selling at samsung.com with edu/1st responders discount for $680. Comes down to the necessity of 120gh passthrough

This is a great deal. Sure, it may get cheaper on Samsung EPP in the next few months but if you need one now, I would consider getting this. BTW if you don't need the HDMI 2.1 features, the Q990C can be had for $700 on Samsung EPP.

I bought the Q990C with the EPP deal. It's fine and accomplishes the purpose I bought it for — simplifying my a/v setup. The sound is ok but in hindsight I probably could have been fine with a cheaper soundbar with less channels.

My 990D came in yesterday. I think they might have goofed on the model number because today on Woot! the 990c is $957.
