I've never seen Apple gift cards (Apple, not iTunes) on Discover for a discount greater than 10% (I don't watch it religiously, but did notice this today). So if you're looking to make a purchase there, good deal (maybe not "slick" but good). Normally these are 5% off (not 15% off) so your true "deal" here is only 10% additional off. You can buy up to a $200 gift card for $170. Then do it again if you want and have enough cash back built up.
I sometimes will wait for Home Depot or Lowe's gift cards to go to 20% off--but this is not bad either considering you rarely see Apple gift cards this discounted.
Log into your account on discover, go to Rewards at the top, then Redeem Cash Back, then for gift cards click "Browse it", then search for apple, you should get the splash screen shown in the picture.

You are losing the one year extended warranty by using gift cards. Important for IPhones, IPads, Computers., AirPods, watches, etc.
If you use the Apple CC, you get zero percent interest up to 2 years. No extended warranty though.
i just bought the ipad pro with 2 yr apple care+ so why do i need any extra warranties?
Yep, you can add them onto your account to use for iTunes.

How do I use my Discover rewards at Citicard? 🤔
Wish chase would offer something good for the holidays
Still not relevant. This is about spending DISCOVER cash back ONLY. ONLY way to get THIS deal!

Yes you can!
So yeah, an extended warranty is pretty nice, especially with how kind Apple is *while* under warranty. Not so much afterwards.
You don't care until it happens to you.

But this has nothing to do with this awesome deal.
There's always some
Gift cards there it's just a matter of the discount applied. Sometimes it's only 5% to 10% to useless stores…but sometimes it's 20% to good places like Home Depot or Lowe's. Lots of options just a matter of whether it's worth it. If I'm eating at Buffalo Wild Wings I will order a gift card from there for a decent discount.
This one is right before the new iPhone release and you would not be able to get any better deals if you want the newest iPhone on day 1(unless you are an apple employee and use the 25% annual personal discount).
