I actually just bought this same model from Microcenter on an insanely crazy deal 4 days back ($420 all-in!). Price aside, IMO the build is okay, decent even, not "great". This is not a top-of-the-line device and it shows. But it's got an aluminum frame and a somewhat 'soft' feel to it. The frame does feel slightly thin and yet the 16" chassis definitely feels hefty but quite sleek at the same time.
So, a Macbook Pro or Dell XPS this is not. However, it's solidly mid-range in terms of construction and build quality.

As for features and capabilities, it's A+. The Ryzen gen 8 is a monster, DDR5 RAM etc. everything feels extremely snappy. Extremely powerful for everyday office work (think MS Office apps, Chrome, Slack/Teams and more at once). The only two downsides I see are the mediocre display (1920x1200 just doesn't sit with me on this screen size) and the average audio quality. Other than that, it's a terrific machine for the price.
Soldered and onboard are used interchangeably.
Just 2 issues... Touchpad n sharp edges on where u place forehand / wrist.

Machine is a beast. 11hr battery life with daily work . No noise, ultra quiet. Screen is just ok for office work.
