ACE Hardware prices are always jacked up. They are consistently more expensive on just about everything I have purchased vs Lowe's or Home Depot. Essentially a hardware convenience store.

Go to Home Depot, Lowe's, even Harbor Freight, and a 5 gallon bucket costs about $5 now. So if you need a bucket, you're getting a free 20% off coupon.

I've never seen a competitive price at ace hardware without a sale. If you take 20% off whatever is in the bucket you're probably still overpaying compared to market.

You're right, the Ace bucket is a whole 2 cents more expensive at Home Depot [homedepot.com], Lowes [lowes.com], and Harbor Freight [harborfreight.com]!

Wouldn't want to lose 2 cents to charity!

You want to wash your car with a bucket that had joint compound, paint, grease or any other residue that will ruin your paint - feel free. I'll spend the $5.
