This device has reached EOL as all the new hardware does not support the proprietary plug this has. The more you know 😉

With that said I had this paired with an Ally Z1E and it was amazing. Sold both and built a high end cpu.

FYI Best Buy will price match this. I went through Best Buy to take advantage of superior return policy (60 days for Plus and Total members, no restocking fee)

It doesn't. It only works with Asus ROG systems with XG Mobile interface (Ally excluding latest Ally X, Flow x13, z13, and x16). The upside to the XG Mobile interface is it provides 57% more bandwidth than Thunderbolt 4 and also provides an additional USB interface so that peripherals do not reduce bandwidth to the GPU.

I'd love to get it for my z1 extreme Ally... but not at that price. I'm hoping to pick one up used in a couple years or something if it drops enough. It's only compatible with a handful of asus products. More likely I'm gonna sell my Ally and get the new one lol.

we still don't know if the next gen Z13, X13, X16 will continue with the proprietary connection
