They have alphabets. That's hard to find at the local groceries.

But, for some reason they are ludicrously priced right now. I got em for 48c month ago.

Useful for teaching your kids or pets to read and write.

I've used these as filler items before, and they usually fluctuate between 50 cents and six bucks. Not the best pasta, and easily the most glutinous I've ever cooked (the pot was coated in sludge afterwards).

Mmmmm sludgy pasta sounds good. I guess if it's a filler deal for S&S, but for how often we actually eat pasta in our house, we tend to go with an Italian made, slow dried pasta. In a pinch, DeCecco pasta is relatively good. If you're on a tight budget, eat the cheap stuff I guess.

There's a really good pasta company near where I live, and I try to get that when I can, but at $8 a box it's a bit rich for my blood. I usually stick with Barilla because it's cheap and good enough (and an old Italian lady once told me that's the brand I should buy if I'm not making my own)
