I actually highly recommend this bottle, with my experience using one for the last 5 years. Yes, I am using the same one and it still works great. I received it free when making my first powdered Soylent purchase, and it worked just fine to mix the powder and water together without any leaks whatsoever. It comes apart in enough pieces to thoroughly clean it, and if you take care to NOT overtighten it and clean/replace the (2) gaskets when necessary, it will treat you right and you can shake it vigorously upside down without any worries of getting liquid all over the place. No, I don't store it on its side so I can't tell you if it will leak or not overnight like that, but from how well it seals when you treat it right (again, I strongly advise against overtightening the top lid), I would not be concerned at all if I had to.

Bummer. Not our experience. We have two and have never had issues with leaking. We often lay them down in the fridge and carry them sideways in totes.

If you don't like plastic. I use these for water and other misc drinks. There many identical options from other brands/sellers. This is the first I saw that's cheaper in price. This is for 2qt 2pk.

Apparently not durable at all. I have the cold brew takeya, and it dropped maybe 1 foot from the cupboard to counter and it broke.

It's not leak proof. On more than one occasion I've had to put it on its side in the fridge due to space and come back to a puddle in the fridge. Granted not a big one, but definitely not "leak proof".
I'd say more like splash proof. Works good if you just need something that won't readily leak in a cooler being jostled around (assuming it's kept upright). But don't buy it expecting to be able to keep it on its side with liquid in it.

My only issue with these is that they aren't easy to clean as the pitchers.

That's a very valid point. I use a bottle brush and there's a certain spot near the top that's difficult to reach. I'm sure if you find a bottle brush with an angle (oppose to straight) it'll clean easily.

All of these problems purchasers are having, and they haven't bothered wondering what 'tah kee ya' means.

Not leak proof but IKEA has something very similar for a few bucks less. And it goes on sale for $5 often. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/mopp...-40578216/

These have never leaked for me. I bring these on vacation because you can fit them in hotel fridges on the side and keep crystal light or soda from 2 liters cold

Now I see why people recommend mason jars when making cold brew, considering the same size is $2 or less. lol.

I've had two of these for about a decade. We store them sideways in the fridge. They don't "leak" but I have seen a small puddle of liquid someone else mentioned. I'm fairly confident it comes from any residual liquid in the spout that might be left after pouring, and not an actual leak. I regularly flip these / shake them vigorously to mix and never had them leak.
