Everybody has been saying this, but the high capacity ones appear to be 850 mAh vs the 800 mAh of the regular. Are the high capacity ones really only 6.25% larger than the non-high capacity ones, and if so why do we care about the high capacity ones? You get 50% more batteries with the non-high capacity (16 vs 24), and that is the equivalent of 17 batteries total (16*1.0625). I can't imagine most people would notice a 6.25% charge difference in the battery use rate, so...again I'm struggling to see why the high capacity batteries make sense.

I would recommend the high capacity versions over the standard ones. And it's on sale as well

i have them but i barely use them. when i charge and want to use a later time is always empty. if you want to use it you have to charge and use right away

Bought these along with Amazon AA rechargeable batteries, and found that they are not compatible with many of my kids toys/remote cars, which require 1.5V batteries, those are 1.2V

I wanted to compare the high caps have better quality as in rechargeability/leak less than the standard amazon rechargeables. I will see.

6.25% increase in listed capacity for an 11.5% increase in cost (24ct, also factoring in S&S). You have a valid point from a value standpoint. However, I do value getting a little bit more life out of them in between charges. For the pack of 24 H.C., it was only a $1.41 upgrade, or about 6 cents per battery.

Why? Gain only 50 mAh but lost a half of recharge cycle 500. The use of high capacity is meaningless if the recharged battery cannot hold the voltage over the time

Im disappointed. Many of them don't hold charges as advertised. It's expected but way too many... more than 50% of the batch...

Actually with the max S&S discount, the 24 pack high capacity version is cheaper (15% S&S discount) that the 24 pack regular capacity (capped at 5% Max S&S discount).

3 cents total savings, but hey the only argument now is it worth having the extra 50 mAh with the high capacity ones, or 500 more charge cycles with the regular ones...

These batteries are best used in cordless phones (my Panasonic uses them) where they sit in a recharging dock

I'd call 6 cents nickle and diming, but my price per cell is 25% more after SS and tax, 70 cents vs 56 cents per cell. Also, the lower capacity ones are rated for 1000 cycles vs 500 for the higher ones. Practically, neither is likely to see more than 100 cycles, but if they get more than 10 cycles, it's likely cheaper and more eco than alkalines. YMMV

I abuse them this way, but they don't last. Constantly charging NiMH isn't ideal and can kill the batteries. My impression is that the pre-charged ones do the worst in this situation. YMMV

If you can recharge a battery 500 cycles then more power to you. IMO the high capacity ones are much closer to an energizer battery where as the regular ones are like 70% as good. I dunno why that is but that's my experience with them.

Genuine question; But the product title says there is only a 50mah difference between the two types and the "High-Cap" versions only say 500x rechargable versus the normal at 1000x. I know those numbers are BS, but it seems like a VERY marginal gain in additional power if the High Caps really are only 50mah more than the normal batteries.

My Eneloop lasted more than 10 years and still in use today. These Amazon rechargeable batteries are garbage and don't hold the charge. Half are out of order already after one year. Very bad for the environment, I do not recommend it.
