Anyone knows if they changed their Standard Warranty, 5 yrs to 3 yrs after realizing most of these sales require service in their 4th or 5th yrs ?

For some of the models the deal may make sense, but 2500 & 3500 were on deal a few says ago doe the same price as "new". BB & Amazon deals are dead, but Costco still has the 2500 (named differently).

The 2500 was on sale for $299 and the 3500 for $399

The product pages say, 5 year warranty for most of them. The new 5200 for example is 7 year and refurb 5 year, so they do appear to be taking some time off for all of them.

I have an old refurb 5200 probably 10 years old now that has always been a little louder than my friends and sure enough the motor unit is now dying. I did send it in once under warranty but they "didnt find anything wrong". Seems parts are not avail to repair the bases.

So I am going to buy a refurb 7500 and make sure it sounds good before the 60 day return window is up.
