So if price remains same for msrp then $150 off is I think reasonable for most people who might want airpod max but not pay $600 including tax for the trade off of usb-c and "better" audio quality.
Personally I think $300-350 is what i would pay for them relative to an updated model

As is, I don't think the AirPods Max are bad. They have great sound and in my experience better than what Sony and Bose offer.

The usb c gripe is a mild annoyance. All this to say those points are invalid as well.
