Bring them to an electronics recycler or place that recycles lead acid batteries.

Cyberpower doesn't allow to replace their battery. At least the one I have until recently. I could replace the battery but the system didn't start after replacing it. I'm not sure they still does this but their product is no no to me

Cyberpower replaced the batteries during warranty period. Just that the battery took almost a month to arrive but it was at the beginning of COVID.

I replaced batteries on each of Cyberpower UPS that I own, factory AGM and aftermarket LFP batteries, none of them have any troubles running afterward.

i started out with APC years ago and never had any problems other then changing batteries about every 5-6 years

have 6 of this BX1500m model. last one was $138 two years ago. so this $145 sales price today is a good deal.

first sinewave unit blew up a couple of days before the 3 year warranty went out.
i had just arrived home from work.

second sinewave replacement unit lasted all for 2 months.

they wanted to send replacement batteries although i already knew that wasnt the issue.
i let them ship me the 2 batteries as that was worth about $40-50.

they wanted to replace the unit with a cheaper unit at my shipping cost.
