Pure sinewave is only need if running extremely sensitive equipment such as medical equipment, motorized tools or life support systems. Simulated sine is perfectly fine for computers, servers, or any electronics that doesn't have a motor running in it.

Bring them to an electronics recycler or place that recycles lead acid batteries.

Beware this unit beeps quietly non stop. I did get use to it eventually. It sounds like a prank device someone hid in your room.

I haven't had that happening with any of the 3 in my house.

Cyberpower doesn't allow to replace their battery. At least the one I have until recently. I could replace the battery but the system didn't start after replacing it. I'm not sure they still does this but their product is no no to me
Complete BS…. You get generic battery or two on fleebay for a fraction of retail price and I changed them many times without any issues.

It beeps and fan kicks in if you have voltage fluctuation only unless you got a defective unit… have it exchanged or get an electrician unless you have multimeter voltage tester…

Are these APC units better than the CyberPower ones? I've had CyberPower fail with error codes. Someone Costco/Sam's/BJ's all sell CyberPower at the moment. Is the Vertiv bundle at Costco any good?

Anyone tried this: https://tripplite.eaton.com/inter...TERNET600U ? Form factor could work in some spaces where these towers can be tough to fit.

That's just wrong. I have had this APC (BX1500G) for nearing 15 years - 0 issues. Incredibly unstable power grid too so you know it has been nearly abused. TV, PC, consoles connected. 0 issues.
They dont make them like they used to. You have apc people saying apc is the best and cyberpower saying they never had issues. I bought an apc from bestbuys recently and it didnt survive 1 day before it popped and smelled of burnt plastic. F02 error. APC has gone to shiet after the buy out. I wouldnt buy from then. Thats why i have a eaton double conversion ups for my expensive goodies. And one extra cyberpower for my other stuff.

Isn't the double conversion unit noisy and not very efficient, aside from purchase cost?

There is some loss from ac to dc then to ac again but it guarantees your power is always pristine. It has 90.1% efficiency. its definitely built to last compared to these bottom of the mill ups. I bought one from ebay and modded it using a noctua fan. Complete silence. The stock fan was loud. As for the price it s pretty good. It was a brand new, old stock unit for 200 bucks plus 50 shipping. The batteries were still good. Model was eaton 9sx1000.

Does that one need a 20-amp wall outlet? Was it easy to swap the fan? Might have to watch for one of these though shipping can be over $100 too, location dependant. Still might be worth 2-3x over consumer units.

Dont need 20amp. Easy fan swap.
Here is the seller i bought from. They have a a lot of reviews on the 9sx1000 so i think they will have stock again. Last i looked they had some again but not now. Just have to watch for their listing.

I would just get a power station like a River 2. Easier to transport and will handle cycling better.

Do they charge a fee like BatteryPlus?

the switchover time right now is not fast enough like an actual ups
I just replace lead-acid batteries in my old UPS unit with LiFePo4 batteries (check size and voltage first). Run time now extends ~5x

Agreed, it is like putting ultra premium fuel into a 20 year old Honda civic. It won't hurt it, but you are mostly wasting money.
