That's a great deal for the config, but these G-series are heavy compared to other similarly-specced laptops like the Legion series.

Yes this 13th gen processor is on Intel's list. I was going to buy this deal till I found out it's part of the massive recall.

Yup, all the "HX" suffix are 13th gen with the oxidation-or-whatever defect.

The non-HX "13th" gen MOBILE processors are just rebranded 12th gen, so they don't have that problem.

Everything I have seen points to only desktop CPUs being affected. I cannot find a simple and concise list with all affected models.

Can someone confirm this mobile CPU is affected by the voltage bug (or any other defect).

This is not a mobile CPU. They put the desktop powered CPU in this laptop to offer the full processor for gaming.

Not a good deal and pretty heavy!
I ordered the same one but 32GB of RAM at the same price before. However, I'm in the process of returning it.

I have three builds at my house with i7 13700k in each one of them and I'm just waiting for their impending doom. In the meantime they are running like champs ✌🏼

$1,299.99 for i9-13900HX & RTX 4070 & 1 Thunderbolt™ 4 port with DisplayPort
vs
$ $949.99 for i7-13650HX & RTX 4060 & 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort

Is $350.00 worth the downgrade (price before 10% discount)?

This is legit since 13900hx and 14900hx are very similar and of the highest performance laptop cpus. Downside is the power draw, so not really good on battery. Great gaming laptop for the kids.

doesn't mean the HX isn't affected, just that it's not on the list to get an extended warranty. at least not yet.
