This is a miserably large display for only being 1080 vertical pixels.
Yes and a 27" 1080p display sucks to work on. 1440 would be much better for just about everything, especially at this size.
For those who don't know, Deco gear is Beech Camera's house brand. It's probably some other name brand monitor rebadged as a deco gear. I've had three Deco Gear monitors (upgrading), and they've all been great. They're not top of the line monitors, but they're also not top of the line prices. The pictures are very good, especially for the price. They generally aren't officially freesync or gsync certified (though they say that this one is freesync on the deco gear website), but they have an adaptive sync setting that generally works fine with both.

This would be tempting for me, but I really need the extra screen space that 4k (and sharpness) brings and hate the ultrawide form factor. While it would be an upgrade for me in size, it would be a downgrade in quality and screen height. It's basically two 27" 1040p monitors side by side, with no bezel between them. For me, a 43" 4k monitor is a better fit for my desk and my needs.

But it's a great deal for someone wanting a huge 49" monitor. It's currently selling for $700 on Amazon, Beech Camera, and Beech's Buydig site. It's $639 on their Deco Gear site.

If you're willing to gamble on Amazon resale, they're selling the Gigabyte Aorus 43" FV43U 4k monitor in "used acceptable" condition for $419. In my case, it was an open box return in perfect shape. (The "acceptable" was based on the damaged box.) It's not quite as big as this, but is much taller, better quality, and cheaper, too. It's VESA DisplayHDR 1000 and Freesync Premium Pro certified, too, compared to HDR400 and regular Freesync for this one.

It's the same height as a 27" monitor, but twice as wide.

How come they don't make 4k resolution for wide monitors?

There are 7680 x 2160p monitors on the market, but they're $2k+

It's not good for gaming either. What games benefit from this wide of a monitor? 3440*1440 UW is much better.

I am always curious. What's stopping someone from getting a wide ass 4k tv? One can plug it to practically any system... curious
