Watching Xbox controllers come and go on sale over the years, it seems like the following is a good way to look at the pricing:

$45 is a good, but common, price for basic Xbox controllers. Buy here if you need a controller soon.
$40 is a deal. Jump at this price if you want a specific controller color or style.
$35 and below is SlickDeal.

this is not core controller. This is just regular controller.
THe core controllers and the elite series without the paddles and chargers.

Agreed. All of my XBox Series controllers I purchased on sale were $36 each.
