You can find a lot of these at pawn shops for $2-3. I just discovered this trick and doubled my collection last weekend.

These are good deals but this is also true, I just picked up 20 blurays for $1 a piece.

I agree with you… It's how I acquired most of my collection. But some people like to buy new so they know what they're getting. Sometimes you just can't find that movie at a pawn shop or thrift store.

If you're stuck in 4K mode, more power to you. I only buy 4K if it's within a few dollars of the BR price or if it's something I feel is worth 4K transfer. At best on most 4k transfers, you get a DTS soundtrack. Picture transfer may be worse than the blu because of nit-picking studios that wash out/change coloring and make people look plastic. If something has heavy CGI, it's probably worth the 4K. But most 80's/90s movie grain is what I want to see! I don't want to see every nose hair with clarity in Weekend at Bernie's. Like I said, personal preference. Of 5k movies I own, I have 70 in 4K, and mostly by accident finding at a pawn shop or thrift store.

Some of these are deals, most are not. $8 for a bluray is not a 'deal' that should be the normal price. around $10 for a UHD movie is a good deal.
