I don't recommend plumbing this to hvac. My intuition says no to oil and buildup in my hvac system/lines.

i still think that these need a small fan to distribute the scent mist throughout the room.

I went down the rabbithole of scent nebulizers a year or two ago after visiting a resort that had them. After a lot of trail and error, i came to the conclusion that you need to have it plumbed into the hvac to get complete coverage and not just a hotspot of scent thats noticeable only when you walk next to it.

Hopefully someone can prove me wrong.

These are not the style of nebulizers that are meant to be plumbed into HVAC. (i'll update my previous post to make sure that is clear).

I would think putting one after the evaporator should be fine (again, not this one) and setup to only run when the blower motor is on.

I agree and our HVAC guy also says no essential oils in a home it clogs the air filter too.

The battery life on these is bad and the nebulizer gets dirty and clogged up over time. I've had better success after switching over to the plug in types.

Th diffuser is cheap because they hope to recoup their losses when you buy the refills

I recommend just setting it in front of a fan on low to help distribute the fragrance

You can't buy third party essential oils and just refill that way?

You plug the refill bottle into the diffuser and I think the plug/connector is proprietary. That's how Air Wick and Glade tend to do it.

The ones i'm talking about a meant to be plumbed into the air duct AFTER the evaporator....that's downstream of the air filter and where the warm air gets turned cold.

(i regret mentioning plumbing anything into the hvac)

I bought one of these a few years ago, and returned it because it just didn't work. I put it in a small bathroom and closed the door. I didn't smell anything over several days, and I have a very good sniffer!

I understand but he says not OIL in the foam of infusion. Small molecules do not pass the air filter and it creates a problem.

He says use candles but not oil base anything.

do not waste your money on this. I bought a few with the intention that I could make my own refill using essential oils. Unfortunately, it did not work, I tried various proportions of essential oils and a base oil and water and it only spoiled the diffuser sticks. Not working at all. It only works with their refill product.

Good one. I am going to put this inside the HVAC air duct, after the furnace.
