I wanted to buy this months ago and it was like $150. I passed and bought a different one. I should have waited.

Pretty sure the copyright has run out after 1500-2000 years...awful lot of money for a collection of public domain material that is literally given away free in tons of places. Of course, can't put a value on having an exquisite, fancy, impressive leather bound version. What would that be? Pride? It certainly goeth before the fall. A rich man's bible even? Certainly easier for the camel to pass through the eye of...oh forget it. Too many contradictions. A slickdeal in the end? Who knows...what is the going front page deal price on salvation? Or at least believing in it...

This is a good price for the quality, and I like Thompson Chain Reference. If you're in the market for a Study Bible, this might be a good option.

Personally I prefer NASB or ESV over NIV, since I'm a snob like that (or put another way, I value the connections that word-for-word translations enable better than thought-for-thought translations.)
