Yes, Amp-hours are a capacity rating here. The only caveat is that this battery is thicker and heavier than the 2Ah version.

I assume it is the same if I have a charger for 24v 5 amps that came with a mower. Also is it good to add all state protection for 2 years at least.

24V usually refers to a 6S battery. Depending on the cells, that's 24.6 V or possibly 25.2 V max charge voltage.
