I'm a retro gaming fan, but this is kinda ridiculous. At this point you're just buying plastic waste. The planet is dying because we love plastic too much lol

How so? If I want to play Mr Run and Jump on my Atari 2600, how else can I play it?

Flash cart + sd card if you really must play it on original hardware. a flash cart with 2000 games is less plastic waste than individual cartridges.

or you can play on the above link.

isn't buying a flash cart wasting the same amount of plastic just to play one game?

It's probably a bit more plastic tbh. But that one piece can play any number of Atari 2600 games. And that's an "if you must play on original hardware" scenario. You can just as easily play on an emulator. Atari games are simple enough that there is no noticeable input lag or inaccuracy in the emulator.
