The new burgers they use suck. The old ones they had for years and years were so good. I asked the store manager when I last went and she told me it was really to cut costs, they went to a less lean, cheaper cut of beef that allowed it to be "juicier" aka more fat and slightly bigger bc its a crappier cut. It doesnt taste near as good. Same for the bun and cheese she said, both were swapped out and Red Robin claimed it was for taste but as always it was to save a buck. Then they only bring you about 8 fries at a time so you are having to reorder another 8 fries over and over which is a bit annoying but they are still good.
Last time I tried their bottomless fries and they sucked. Only brought out a bit of fries initially and only really came by once to refill them. Never heard or seen the waitress again to even ask for drinks or fries. Even have to chase them down for a check. That makes the bottomless fries pointless. Not to mention the soggy fries that sat all day in a bin.
Normal price at my location is $13.99 so this is a $4 savings. Though at normal menu prices you can get a tavern double for $9.79 including bottomless fries so this doesn't seem like that big of deal. Still nice to see discounts from Red Robin. They used to have a good loyalty program but it's gone downhill in recent years.

Same, went twice during their last promotion. The first time we did not see the waiter for refills or extra fries. The second time we had to flag them down and we still had to wait a long time to get refills on both drinks and fries.

My local Jacksonville, FL RR has everyday:
  • Free, unlimited refills on bottomless sides
Dine-in, and enjoy endlessly at Red Robin. Get Bottomless Steak Fries®, Kettle Chips, Sweet Potato Fries, Garlic Fries, Broccoli, or Side Salad with any burger or entrée. Settle in, because this offer doesn't expire until your appetite does. Cue the never-ending smiles.
  • unquenchable thirst. meet Bottomless refreshment.
When it comes to endless refreshments, these aren't your typical free refills. Dine-in with us where signature beverages like Freckled Lemonade® and Poppin' Purple Lemonade are flowing non-stop. Guests can also endlessly indulge in our Bottomless Root Beer Float – made with Barq's Root Beer and soft-serve ice cream. As if that weren't enough, our Orange and Raspberry Cream Sodas are – you guessed it – Bottomless. So keep chugging. We're stocked and ready.
  • Kids' meals go on and on...
It doesn't get much easier to snuff out those fiery appetites when every single side and beverage on our Kids' Menu is Bottomless. Premium beverages have an upcharge, but the refills? No charge. Bam. And here's a little pro-tip for you – our Kids' Mac It Yours entrée comes with free refills, too! How many? Infinity.
So yes, the Cheeseburger is discounted a couple of bucks, but you can only get steak fries with that special. No other sides are offered (YMMV).

The bottomless fries isin't anything new. I think all their "gourmet burgers" come with unlimited fries. This is probably a bit cheaper of a burger so thats probably the difference. I bet if you went in on tuesday, you'd see the promo.

To really make it worth it you need to dine in. Not sure if this deal is for take out, but normal orders you can order extra fries with all the burgers

We had a RR near our high school and had a couple friends that worked there. We'd always get the heads up when managers were away and we would roll in, one person order a burger and then just bring an absolute shit load of fries out. One friend ate 11 baskets of fries.

This was early 2000's....now i usually get 2-3 baskets of fries before we are ready to leave....

They gutted their loyalty program. I was especially irked when you can no longer get a free birthday burger togo

It's entertaining to read what some people want for a $10 burger.

Lets see...Mcdonald's "better" burgers are starting to push $6.50-$8.50.

But we consumers want Red Robin to be able to offer a $10 burger, pay the servers, pay the rent for eating space, have a loyalty program, use better meats, be more attentive to you at the table......OK, Seems reasonable.

Red Robin is great for a quick bite, slightly above going to Mcdonalds. It's not going to rock anyone's world, and anyone who has gone knows that. If you want all those other things, maybe go somewhere more expensive?

I think it's more on the server than the restaurant itself. We've had servers who are on top of refills and come by often to ask if you need anything else.

We did run into one such server just last week at Applebee's that made their "all you can eat" more like "all you can eat if you can ever get a hold of your server"...

I thought it was ALWAYS all you can eat fries, salad, broccoli, etc. I haven't been there in 2 years but it used to be that with every burger. Am I wrong?

The deal is that it's $10. Not that it comes with bottomless fries.
