Yeah, 0.7 is noticeably small, but it could be nice and compact for a single or two person use, to save counter space. If you've got a multi person family and will use big bowls or casserole dishes, you'd want bigger.

Check secondipity for new microwaves in bigger sizes. It's worth spending the right amount for the right size, but beyond that, almost all of these microwaves are made by a single Midea factory in China, and then labeled with various "brand" names from years past, like Kitchenaid, Cuisinart, etc. So don't try to spend more hoping for features or any perceived brand quality.

*this is also only 700W which is kind of nice that it cooks more gently, but it's slower, and most food package instructions are written for 1000W these days.

For those who want to purchase and pick up at in-stock stores, Target appears to have the same model in black for $44.99.

Wish it was over 1.0 cu ft. My microwave won't heat more than 4 minutes any more on high heat. It's like it overheats and shuts its power off, then comes back on when its cooled down after minute or two.

Thats good to know thanks. Actually been looking and seeing that brand Midea and avoiding it since I never heard of it, but I guess it doesn't matter. I think I will go for something a little bigger

My microwave years ago would do the same thing. The magnetron, which is what generates the microwaves, was going bad. Your microwave
has an inline fuse that will kick off the power to prevent it from starting a fire. This causes the wiring to get hot. It's so expensive to replace the magnetron. The best thing to do is just throw it away and get a new one. Most of the time you can find a pretty decent one for 50 dollars or less on sale. I'm no expert. Just sharing my experience.

It might work but in my opinion it is too small. Nowadays they make the walls of the cavity recessed, which makes up part of that already-small .7 cubic feet, making it worse.

For people that don't understand the hate on 700 watts. It may be because most frozen foods have instructions based on 1000 watts. If you get this you will have to come up with your own instructions for almost everything.

PSA: microwaves are rated for their output power. If you're buying this due to limited power availability (solar, tiny house, RV, etc.), then know it requires about 900-925 watts to run at full power.

Also, be aware that you will need to add ~25% times to cook times and microwave popcorn won't pop well as the bag expands too much physically for it to rotate correctly, resulting in both under-popping and burned kernels when cooked using the 'listen' method of cooking it. (Popcorn buttons are useless in general unless they have moisture sensors.)

If you can fit a 900 watt unit, they're more efficient, you can use the instructions on packages, and fit larger plates, popcorn bags, etc.
