Was released in April last year. EA golf is one title that wont get released every year. So should be good for a while. But yes, if you are into PC golf, its worth it. Cross platform play. BTW its full price on PS5 and XBox.

Doesn't seem to be much difference between standard and deluxe

Only things listed:
- 1500 Premium PGA TOUR POINTS
Currency to purchase exclusive pro shop items
- PGA Tour XP Bundle
XP to jump start your PGA tour career

Neither of those seem compelling. Just gonna go for standard version at $10.49

If I buy this, will it give me a code to use on Steam or do I have to use the EA app for Windows?

I feel like slickdeals is turning into golfslickdeals. I'm so here for it since I just started getting into golf.

EA has its own storefront so it'll be played directly through that.

Welcome to the wonderful, but expensive and often very frustrating world of golf. I started out with Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 2004 for PS2, now I'm hooked on golf! I still suck at real golf, but I still love it. Buy it, try it, get hooked on golf. 😉

Is this better to play on keyboard and mouse or controller?

Just my opinion: Controller is best; for swinging at least.

Been playing 2K21 golf using the X-Arcade Tankstick trackball to make it more arcade like play.

I did buy this and now I remember why I went with 2K21 over this. Can't use a mouse with this other than three click, you have to use a controller. Graphics look early to mid 2000s quality. Wish I'd saved $11

Save your money and get 2K21. there is no comparison. Sure it doesn't officially have Pebble Beach or Augusta among other courses, but they do have user created ones like 199th U.S. Open "Members" for Pebble Beach and a number of Augusta ones. look at courses that are trending to play. The best ones are there.

But, best of all, the free user created courses include fun arcade like mini golf style courses. There's Sam's crazy golf for a true mini golf style course, Billy's Silly Sevens, 420 Crazy Golf, and a personal favorite, the Suburban Links of Catgas. Someone legitimately built an entire small town / neighborhood and then stuck a course in it with greens in people's backyards. They seriously put a family of 4 in the backyards to watch you play. It's just phenomenal what that person who designed it did.

With the user created database, there is just hundreds of great courses to play and with a trackball it makes it arcade style. It's just leaps and bounds better than EA.

I can't vouch for how it performs on PC, but as a big fan of the real-life PGA Tour, I really like the PS5 version of the game. It has lots of PGA TOUR courses and every 2023 and 2024 major championship course. It does have micro transactions, but I have enjoyed the game without paying for anything.

This game doesn't work with mouse for the swing other than 3 click. Controller left stick only for the pull back and swing. If you are looking for a true mouse swing, go with PGA Tour 2K21 (or 2K23).

It's a decent golf game. Most competitive players prefer PGA 2K23, which looks worse but has better online play and more active players, but neither game is massively better than the other. For $10 you don't have much to lose, it's probably worth that much.
