Amazon [amazon.com] has GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER AERO OC 16G Graphics Card on sale for $949.99. Shipping is free.
This is $200 or 17% less the list price of $1149.99 and lowest price of this amazon listing ever, per three camels.

Of course, you can also get 5% or 6% cachback if you have Amazon Prime and buy it with Amazon Prime Credit Card.

Per my calculations, performance per dollar of this 4080 super at this price is comparable to 4070ti super, which is a step down in performance, but still the best card at ~$800.

4080 Super is the best "value" high-end card. The only better performing card is 4090, which costs ~100% more with performance increase of only ~25% over 4080 Super.

This is one of the bigger cards with almost 3in or 75mm heightand 13.5in or 345mm length. If you decide to pull the trigger on this, make sure it will fit in your case.

Features:
  • Dual BIOS configuration
  • 4 Years Warranty (Online registration required)
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Clock speed: 2595 MHz
  • Card size L=342 W=150 H=75 mm

I'm waiting for the 5000 series launch (some buzz suggesting spring 2025). When the 4090s (eventually) hit the $700-$800 range, I'm in.

About a month ago, I had a chance to get a 3090 refurb for $699 with a year's warranty, which is how I set my target buy price. I'm fine with refurb, but would pay maybe $100-$200 more for a new 4090.

It's called microcenter my G. Fry's would have done it too, but we know what happened to them, AMD lawsuits for Intel mobo bundles back in the 90s killed them, they never did recover.

If you don't have one near you you either live in the Bay or you should move.

Can you tell us where you were able to buy 3090 for 699?
