No, right cut tinsnips are designed for straight cuts, and curved cuts to the right. Left for curved cuts to the left. There is also a straight snip.

You should have left and right snips in the toolbox to cover all contingencies. I rarely use my straight snips.

Usually right hand people use lefts, these are a great deal if your going to throw them in a draw and almost never use them but if your actually going to cut a good amount of sheet metal spend $30 once and buy something real

A three pack of left, right, and straight is available at Harbor Freight for about $12 and with an ITC membership that drops to about $9 through today.

Totally agree with this. Not to sound like a tin snip snob, but my go-to snips are Malco brand that run around $45. But Midwest snips are popular too at around $30.

$10 snips will work, but if you cut a lot of sheet metal you'll definitely see the difference between them and a quality pair of snips.

Malco are pretty good. I miss the clauss brand.

I bought the right cut version during the last deal. I don't know if I got a lemon but it cuts terrible. I was cutting some rather thin stainless steel gutter guards and it was almost impossible to get a good snip/cut. I brought out my old Stanley Fatmax straight cutters which surprisingly did the job these snips couldn't.

The aviation snips drop to $9 with ITC I wasn't talking about the ITC membership cost. Many people have ITC already.
