Just a heads up for everyone on the silicone bumper case, this was designed for the LCD model Steam Deck and not the OLED model, while it technically fits the cutout for the screen is too small for the OLED model and cuts a small portion of the screen off.

I'd be weary of putting a case on my Deck. Anything contributing to heat would have to provide more benefit than protecting against minor scratches. But if you travel a lot or are in an accident prone environment I guess I can see the utility.

I haven't had any heating issues with my Killswitch case I bought last year.

This case is ABSOLUTELY garbage. Got it for $5 on clearance and still regret the deal. It's super slick, slides out of your hands, and slides off of surfaces like your lap or couch. Also, offers zero protection in my opinion.

Got a skull and co finally and it's much better and under $20.

All of this looks like junk I wouldn't bother with putting on my Deck or wasting my money on.

The temperature of the internal chips (mobo, CPU, GPU) is not going to be significantly altered by an external case on the Steam Deck.

The shell is extremely easy to replace. Bought transparent green one off Amazon for like $25. No need to use a case. It doesn't scratch easy at all.
