anyone still using AAA? I used to have AAA, and got trip maps etc. Now everything is online and digital. If you have an older car, it might be useful to have AAA for towing purpose, roadside assistance etc. Other than that, I rarely see the need to have AAA.

I have towing service through my insurance, but it's nowhere near as good as AAA. AAA is much faster to respond and I'm tempted to switch back one of these days, but my car is fairly new. Years ago, when I had a heavily modified car, I used AAA to tow my car to the dyno a couple of times to get tuned. Another time, a mechanic used incorrectly sized fuel rail spacers, causing a near catastrophic engine fire when the fuel injectors pushed past the orings on the fuel rail. AAA towed it on a flatbed again for free.

However, I don't think this is any kind of deal worthy of being posted. It's comparable to the My Pillow guy fake sales.

Do you mind explaining to me why this is not deal worth? It is free to add a family member if you already have a membership.

Looks like doesn't work with all regions or tier. Father has Classic Tier and adding any member yields additional $27.

Agreed the AAA guys seem a lot more knowledgeable. Also
you should never do claims for jump battery, towing, etc through your insurance. It'll count at as a claim for other insurance companies and you'll end up with higher rates and stuck with your current insurance. Also your current insurance may count it against you too

Why towing a car would be same as claim? I had my car towed in the past but never had premium changes.
