You are better off buying a set in a month or two when big box stores start having holiday sales and promotions. Or just go down to Walmart or Harbor Freight if you need one today. I built up my DIY collection over time with tools just like this. But i don't bother to get these type of tools anymore. They have their place but once you start buying higher quality tools, when ever you need one you'll be reached for the nicer one and even if you cant find it you'll spend the time looking for it instead of grabbing the dust covered one that's right in front of you.

The lineman's pliers have 2 reviews. Dont get fooled by the number of reviews on top of amazon as they seem to aggregate different products. The 2 reviews claim they are okay.
