I actually just finished this. It was classic Steinbeck, for certain. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to your interests.
I won't waste everyone's time with my opinion of it, I'd be getting thumbs downs regardless 😂

Always been a John Steinbeck fan. Grew up in central and Northern California, where some of his books take place. He used to live in the town that I live in.

I've been listening to the audiobook for this one and for the life of me can't get into it. Loved the audiobooks for Grapes of Wrath and East of Eden, but this one I'm having more trouble with. I think I'll give it a read and see if the medium helps. Thanks for sharing this OP!
