I have this exact watch and love it. Bought a sapphire glass over the screen from Amazon ($25) and saved a lot. After a year of hard use, I still don't have any scratches on the glass. Would buy another one as a back up. I wear it daily and can dress it up or down.

I know the new one is coming out in 2 weeks (Fenix 8, with the OLED display), but that'll be at least $900…likely more. This is a great deal on closeouts!

Good price but not the Sapphire edition, which is what one should get for this expensive watch from what I've read.

Temping but I think my Fenix 6 is still doing everything I need. I wear it 24/7 and log at minimum one run a day, I'd love the extra training readiness stuff and morning report, but just can't justify it

No ECG feature, this has the V4 sensor that just doesn't support that. The Epix Pro Gen2 does have support for ECG but you won't find those for $350 for a while.

This is a really good deal. I'd imagine we'll see more of this after the Fenix 8 announcement, especially around Black Friday sales.

For all the discussion regarding Saphire, I don't think it's really necessary with these watches. I wore my Fenix 6 Pro daily for nearly five years, banged and scraped it on a lot of stuff, but the glass on these is recessed behind the metal bezel which protects it in most cases. I even caught the edge of my granite countertop a few times directly on the glass and never saw a mark.

For anyone thinking Sapphire is the end all be all in scratch resistance, I have the Epix pro Sapphire and only for a few days and no abuse and it got a scratch. A minor one but still upset it's not scratch proof like all the people make it out to be. It now has a glass screen protector.

While this is the lowest price for Epix Standard edition, you really want to get the Pro edition.

This one has older 4th gen heart rate sensor, which is not capable of ECG or skin temp. Sapphire standard edition also does not have newer sensor.

Look for Pro Standard or Pro Sapphire editions if you want to future proof your purchase - that has 5th gen heart rate sensor with 4 vertical and 2 horizontal green dots.

Add: I got a glass screen protector and a overall cover for my Pro Standard, they were about 4-5 $ on Ali.

This is Fénix 6 with AMLOED screen. So you don't really need the upgrade for THIS one.

Fénix 7 with AMOLED screen is Epix Pro Standard… DCRainmaker has got the details.

Right, sapphire version doesn't only mean the difference of glass, a lot of features are not on the basic models. I have a Fenix 6, like it, looking for a sale on epix 2 pro sapphire. sapphire black version does not have the shiny bezel, I almost think they want you to upgrade for the purposely designed bad looking. sapphire glass does wear, I will still put on a screen protector because I hate imperfection. They even sell bezel protectors but I think that is too much.
