I have the Delta 2 from the deal last month, finally got it delivered. Want to get this to reach 3kWh to qualify for the 30% tax credit. Anyone thinks this will fall to $800 range this year?

For the tax credit, can you include the solar panels also?

I don't think solar panel count as tax credit

FYI - The Delta 2 Max extra battery is also on sale at HSN for $799. This is about the same price as it was during prime day with coupon. This add on battery adds an additional 2kWh to the Max 2 (also works with the 1kWh Delta 2)

What type of tax credit could I get with this Delta 2 Max w/solar panel and the extra battery? I tried reading that government website, but now I'm even more confused

Edit: The extra battery is no longer available (at sale price)

Two n00b questions

1 - Tax credit? Educate me, please

2 - Sounds like is related to KHs capacity, does the add on battery someone else mentioned make the combined unit tax credit worthy?

https://www.energystar.gov/about/...technology
"Battery Storage Technology Tax Credit"
"30% for property placed in service after December 31, 2021, and before January 1, 2033"

and

https://www.irs.gov/instructions/...k100074916
"Qualified battery storage technology costs. Qualified battery storage technology costs are costs for battery storage technology that is installed in connection with your home located in the United States and has a capacity of at least 3 kilowatt hours."

The government only says that it must be "connected to your home" and "at least 3 kilowatt hours". Assumptions say if you buy 2 of these, you are at 4 kilowatt and that may qualify. Or buy one and an extra battery for 4 kilowatt. Consult a tax advisor to be sure.

I wish I had jumped on this sooner so I could have also purchased the extra battery. I did purchase the Delta 2 Max with trolly and solar panel. I couldn't pass up the deal with my "cash back" credit card. $220 cash back so $1099.99 became $879.99

It was my Upromise Mastercard. I don't really use it much, but checked their webpage and is showed HSN, normally 2.5% cash back and now up to 20%. I had no idea what I'd get back, but was shocked when I got 20%
