these are made in china, not germany. it is a german company but they are made overseas.
this is a common theme here on SD. there have been many posts from SD editors for "Fake sales" from this company. even though very few people have owned or heard these, they all make front page status right away. the MSRP is wildly inflated to make it look like they are really expensive. consider this to be an SD advertisement / promotion. no SD members are posting these as a deal, it is only the moderators here posting this.

- should be tight, punchy with a thump
MONOPRICE 15" 600 RMS, 800 peak. Currently. $299. 66.1 lbs.
rated 30Hz to 150 - 200 or so.
use a y adapter to plug in to the subwoofers 2 inputs from your AVR, it will boost the volume by about 50%.
currently best bang for buck I have seen.
I bought one at $240, a month ago.
hard to believe what you get for that price.
it is a sealed subwoofer, so adjust it until it gets "punchy".
A lot of people already know the sub crawl placement method described below, but here it is again. 😀
Where you view from in relation to where the subwoofer is placed in the room makes a big difference how loud the sub will be.
When I was new at this, I placed a sub, started listening and thought where is the volume.
So I got up, started walking away out of the room, half way down a hall I thought and heard boom, there it is. A lot of people do a "subwoofer crawl". Place the subwoofer at listening or viewing position and then you move around the room or crawl to get ear closer to floor. Wherever you are and sub sounds the best, that's where the sub goes. You trade places with the sub and that's an optimal subwoofer placement position and inexpensive method to find the sweet spot for the subwoofer. Draw back to this is if the sub is really heavy, don't put it on your seating chair, safety first.
There must be a low frequency track in the source, movie or music to do the sub crawl in the first place. There are tracks, movies you hear a low sound but it's not in the bass track, it's how the source is mixed. I have moved miles back and forth doing sub positioning, rewinding to the bass track section in a source and volume adjustments.
In the end, the crawl method work's well and the sub will sound very good.
someone posted it went as low as $193 Black Friday 2023.
If it does again I will get a second and stack them, that should add 5 or 6 db to matching volume settings..
It is awesome. Well worth the price as long as the amp lasts.
I don't turn the volume setting past 1 o'clock or #6, it hits 117db no problem.
Dont hurt your ears, recommended listening levels of 80db or below for humans.
Amps last longer if you don't overdrive the crap out of them.
I have found when not in use my subwoofers,
all nine last a lot longer if I power off the subwoofer when not on use,
I don't let it auto in to standby, it seems to shorten their lives.
one EOSONE is 18 years old and kicks hard.
oters, 9 of them are 1 month to 15 years old.
replacing 2 amps in 14 year old PSW505's Polk, bad amps,
so switch to off manually to save a sub life.
