Is this June? Is that deal still available? Is this current deal a refurb?

That $650 refurb was a great deal.

This $600 new system seems like a great deal too.

suggest an alternative at this price range please?
I would wait for black friday. Also, 600 is a pretty tight budget, so there isn't anything great since they're all cutting corners at that price. If you had to buy right now, for 800 I'd take this Lenovo. Better GPU, better screen, faster RAM, better build quality, and runs cooler.

OR if you can stretch to 900 (with comments coupon), this MSI Katana is best value for the price:

Honestly black friday is gonna be good this year, so definitely wait if you can.

Is it safe to buy this considering the 13th-14th gen microcode issues?

This one isn't the HX series that goes higher than 65W at boost, so this one should be fine.

Easy decision. If you game, this HP. If not, or if only very minimally, the Asus.

Y'all have been saying this for 4 years and it's still hasn't happened. I guess just keep saying it for another 4. Who knows?

This or the one from Wal-Mart?

Nah, while the Walmart one has the Ryzen 5 at almost the same i5 gen 13 specs in CPUBench, it comes only with 8GB ram instead of 16GB, and only 512 GB SSD instead of 1 TB.
The one in this thread, and sold at Microcenter, seems like the much better deal to me, and at the same $600 prices. And with Microcenter, you can also get a $100 coupon!

Look at the comments in this thread, some have already gotten it for that price
