unless 50 series absolutely blows 40 series out of the water an i5 and a basic 4070 might poke just under 1000 if you are lucky
Refurbish in woot most likely yes, brand new in Costco I doubt it, maybe $1,200 if we are lucky
How does this posted PC compare to the above purely for gaming and future updating?
Thank you.

Should be about same performance but older gen upgrades are limited and can't use ddr5 or latest stuff this is modern 2024
Yes, but considering this is a prebuilt from Costco, you're covered if anything happens.
Thanks for responding - repped
Configurations looks exact the same. Can someone please suggest best value between two other than Costco warranty and customer service advantage?

I'm seeing conflicting information on whether the motherboard is an ASRock or Gigabyte for this Cyberpower system.
I've never had a problem with either brand, but some might prefer MSI.
It does look like the heatsink on this system blocks one of the RAM slots, so you'll have to buy a different one if you ever wanted to populate all four slots.
Ultimately, the better deal is the better buy.
Having said that, I'm still rocking a 1660Ti that does VR mostly fine - so maybe it's time to play musical video cards, grab a 4070 Super for value, and end up with a decent still upgraded second machine.
Not sure I see the appeal of going for the 4070 Ti: https://www.videocardbe
The statement from Intel says for CPUs running up to 65 Watts are ok so take it with a grain of salt

Not sure how old your processor is, but putting in a 4070 might create a bottleneck.
If your 1660Ti isn't struggling yet, the 4060 is going to feel like a huge upgrade.
Also, the hyperbole over 8GB of VRAM mostly originated from a few hack YouTubers and then got regurgitated ad infinitum. We're not even at the point where 6GB is below the minimum requirement for most games.
