I have one of these, and I really like it. The basket is large and can fit fairly large portions. The inside is non-stick, and I can usually clean it just by rinsing it with hot water after the food comes out. Then the preheat setting will dry out the basket.

The thing I don't like, are the One-Touch presets. You can change the time and temperature, but it won't save. The fry setting defaults to 400 degrees for (something close to) 15 minutes. I always need almost twice that long. And all the fries I buy say to cook them at 360. So I have to change the settings manually every time I cook fries, which defeats the point.

The Fish setting defaults to 360 degrees, so I usually just use that, and add extra time. It's a minor complaint. But it seems like the main selling point of this device is the one-touch buttons, which is the worst part, IMO.

What's the inside like? Plastic or also metal?

Bought one from Kohl's last Black Friday for ~$20, but the body of the thing (even where you insert the basket) is plastic. Not sure how I feel about that over time.

the inside of this one is metal, along with the raised tray on the bottom.
it's like a nonstick coating on it, looks like the kind you'd find inside a pan.

Very tempting. Love the window feature. I'd be tempted if there was a free/cheap way to sign up for Sam's Club.

that's why I bought it, just for the window which is uncommon on this style of fryer.
plus the thing is huge, it will fit a whole chicken inside it if it's not one of those mutant hormone infused ones..
if this thing lasts a couple years I'll consider it money well spent.
search for sams sign up deals, I got a $40 gc when I signed up a few months ago which basically paid for the membership.

seems like a lot of work, but i bet you can.

so you order $50+ then they bring it to your car. then you go park, come in and return it.
That's a lot of work, probably easier to walk in and buy the one thing.

Ended up buying the $49.99 Air Fryer that's 8qts on Costco.

After going through reviews about the coating flaking off.

Pro tip.. dont put silicone liner in with nothing on top of it. It will fly up onto the burner and smoke up bigtime.. the fan motor is stronger than the older ones. Maybe foil underneath as a drip. Wash the bin and trays right after safe cooldown, if you wait longer it is a nasty mess to clean.

If you are referring to the Gourmia 8qt, they had it for $39.99 a few weeks back. I picked it just cuz it was 8qt v/s 7qt available at Sam's. Haven't used it yet though
