I have the first game, and I remembered the first you dont actually control the fighter, just training to improve stats, its a game with fights in it, but not really a fighting game, which may change who is/isnt interested;

Stolen Steam review:

"This game is an interesting take on a management sim.

I did not play the first Punch Club. I do not think you needed to in order to "get" this one.

There are a few hurdles as you get used to the system and how to build your character, (skipping attacks so you don't run down on energy, focusing on certain stats, picking the right upgrades, etc.) however none of this is new to players familiar with the old-school era which this game heavily emulates and references."
