Great deal! Had one of these at retail price... Glad I can have a backup. The strap being brittle is a very legitimate complaint. My old one is barely holding on. I know to be more careful next this time...

Updated comment combining my previous replies to help others decide:
Use case is older car without steering controls where phone is hooked into 3.5mm audio jack, or bike.

Explanation about the brittleness - When you first put it on it's extremely tight. Try to stretch it too far to undo what you did and it could start some rips near the square hole. I'm still using mine despite the small rip as it still holds. But before the rip, the click was extremely stable / solid. After the rip, it loses that stability but it still holds. If you want to have a stable control button that doesn't move, as long as you put it on initially without doing too many re-adjustments you will be fine. If your steering wheel is thinner than mine then re-adjustments may be more forgiving.

Control Scheme: is Volume up and down is a wheel spin. Skip is double press. Previous is triple press. Pause play is single press

Android Auto: Does not work with android auto... Even the physical volume buttons on the phone don't work to control volume when connected to android auto. Works great if it's 3.5mm jack or Bluetooth without android auto. Wish Google would fix this!

The main negative from reviews is that the strap is apparently very brittle and snaps fairly easily.

How brittle would you say this is? Plan on using this with my motorcycle, they recently stole the phone holder off it last time at work, plan to keep phone in my bag and just needed a way to control music while it's tucked away

Are there any out there that you've seen that work with Android auto in a decent way? I looked at these type of things a long while back and they didn't really work super well with Android auto reliably. Would love to find one that did.
My bluetooth controller only works for skip / previous track on android auto. I think the issue has to do with android auto.... Even when I'm doing volume up and down on my phone it doesn't affect the volume level on at least my android auto car.

Thanks!

Someone stole like a quadlock off your motorcycle while you were at work? Man, that fricking sucks.
I got a couple oxford cliqrs for my bicycles but my main problem is just keeping it from wiggling around like crazy when I hit bumps.

Is this just a single button, or does it support touch or scroll?
I'm looking for dial control that can connect to phone without needing any software/driver installation.

It sounds like it is a wheel for adjusting volume and has different functions (play/pause, next song, etc.) for single/double/triple taps

That's not very fancy but it seems like it's better made than the other similar products on amazon so for $15 I guess I'll pick up one to use on my bike
